Features
Bottom cones and auger conveyor
Steep-sided, smooth-walled bottom cones ensure grain flows to the bottom screw in all situations. The bottom cone is easy to clean through large maintenance hatches. A reliable screw conveyor transfers grain efficiently.
There is ample clearance between the screw and the bottom trough, which ensures gentle grain transfer. The M series features a bottom screw driven by a gear motor. The bottom screw is available in two capacities: 60 tn and 80 tn.
Feeding apparatus
Rotating feed rollers with adjustable speed ensure even grain circulation in all conditions. Thanks to the openable bottom hatches, cleaning the dryer is easy and quick.
The feeder is easily cleaned through side maintenance hatches and openable bottom hatches. With the optional maintenance platform for the M series you improve safety and speed up maintenance tasks. All maintenance points are located on the same side of the feeder.
Air ducts
The inner surface of the air ducts is smooth and the bottom corner of the exhaust air enclosure is 50°, which minimizes grain and dust adhesion to surfaces. Grain that has entered the exhaust air enclosure returns to the feeder, reducing the need to clean the air enclosures. Large maintenance hatches make servicing easy and quick.
Air enclosures are available in two different depths, 500 mm or 1000 mm.

Inlet connection
Two different inlet connections can be chosen for the Mepu M series dryer according to your facility's needs.
Outlet connection
The outlet position of the air duct can be chosen either to the side or upwards from the air enclosure.
Grain bin
A durable, smooth-surfaced grain hopper ensures grain flows into the drying cell even in wet conditions.
Drying cells
The wedge-ridge drying cell ensures effective mixing of air and grain, producing uniform and energy-efficient drying results. The drying cell stays clean thanks to the smooth internal surfaces. The M series dryer is available with a motorized or manual cell closure mechanism to enable partial-batch drying.
Elevator
An efficient and quiet cup elevator ensures fast filling and emptying of the dryer. At the top of the elevator there is a 3-way distributor that allows the grain flow to be directed into or out of the dryer.
Pre-cleaner with spreader
The pre-cleaner equipped with a spreading plate distributes grain evenly into the grain hopper, filling it efficiently while removing trash and dust from the grain.
Axial fans
High-efficiency axial fans ensure a cost-saving drying result.
Frame
The drying equipment is mounted on a sturdy steel frame.
Heat source
Mepu's energy-efficient heat sources provide sufficient heat and blowing capacity even in demanding conditions.

Effective pre-cleaner improves grain quality
Before actual drying, the pre-cleaner effectively removes light trash and dust from the grain. Optimized airflow directs impurities away, which increases the grain's hectoliter weight and improves the quality of the final product. The more times the grain passes through the pre-cleaner, the better the results.
The spreading plate ensures an even drying process
The spreading plate distributes grain evenly into the drying machine so the grain can enter the dryer as a homogeneous mass. This guarantees an even drying result without moisture differences or overheating.
Belt feed ensures reliability with all cereals
Mepu's belt feeding mechanism works reliably even with wet grain. The feed rotation speed is adjustable throughout the drying process, allowing flexible and controlled handling of grain. The belt feed is suitable for all cereal types. It also works for light oats in underpressure dryers, where it forces the grain to move forward despite the vacuum. The rotating, self-cleaning mechanism keeps the feeder free of straw. Our feed rollers are easy to maintain.
